In signing up to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1991, the UK government promised to uphold children's rights, including their right to have a say in decisions that affect them, and the right to seek and receive information in ways that are accessible to children.
In 2015, CRAE brought children and young people together to tell the UN about their experience of children's rights in England. CRAE supported the children and young people to tell their side of the story to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. The group produced a report for the Committee, with recommendations about what needs to change for children in England.
