This autumn, the UK Government will be examined under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). This is a peer review process conducted by the UN Human Rights Council which assesses how well a State is implementing its human rights obligations. Under the UPR, the human rights situation of every UN Member State (including the UK) is reviewed every five years. In March, we joined up with the Wales UNCRC Monitoring Group, to submit a civil society report as part of the review.
