  • Over 70 organisations call on Prime Minister to put children's rights at the heart of Government

    More than 70 organisations have written to Prime Minister Andy Burnham urging his government to make children's rights central to its vision for a more preventative state. The joint letter, led by the Children’s Rights Alliance for England (part of Just for Kids Law), congratulates the Prime Minister on his appointment and calls on the new Government to seize the opportunity to renew its commitment to children's rights. The 70+ signatories are wide-ranging, and include UNICEF UK, the National Children’s Bureau, the Alliance for Youth Justice, Save the Children UK, Together (Scottish Alliance for Children's Rights), and New Horizon Youth Centre.  / Aug 2026

    Today’s publication marks the fourth in a series of reports by the Children’s Commissioner for England investigating the Exposure of Intimate Parts searches under police stop and search powers.
