On Monday 22nd March 2021, the House of Lords will debate a motion to take note of the Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021. These regulations will bring forward the government's plans to ban the placement of children under 16 who are in care in unregulated settings.
We have produced a briefing highlighting our concerns that 1 in 5 of all children housed in unregulated accommodation will not be affected by these regulations or the planned national minimum standards, as they are not looked-after children.
